This is most boring monday in, like, this week.

Whats better, after a really long day of work, than a “dependency fuckup” while trying to install Ogre SDK (again, for like 5th time)? A freaking lot of things.

Moral for todays story is - when you use mingw-compiled program with mingw-compiled libraries, make sure that was same mingw. It took me 4 hours before I realized that this is causing issues.

Another long day with another painfully short night ahead.

Sigh.

A bit hectic time at work, everybody’s mumbling about deadlines, utilization and making things faster and faster. Sometimes I forgot that I don’t work in shoes factory or sth, like that.

Still, I found myself today in old city, taking some photos, laughing and eating pizza. It was quite remarkable and really relaxing - nice change from working “duties”.

Worst thing right now is that thought, throbbing in the back of my head, that I’ve done nothing today, from all the things I had to. Next few days will be really stressful, I need to try and fit 36 hours in one day and maybe I will find a way to make everything right again.

Fuck.

After a bit of struggle I managed to get 3G internet connection (for decent price) for my main PC (only with shitty USB modem though). Speeds are ok, about 3mbit download and 1mbit of upload, so with rather low ping I’m able to play Left 4 Dead.

And I’m sure doing it ;]. With my faithful, zombie killing, companion we’re getting achievement after achievement :P.

But still, huge part of my day is spent on cleaning and preparing for renovation. I’ve put my mattress in another room, so I have place to sleep during all this hassle. I can’t wait to have it all behind me.

Yesterday I’ve done some shopping and got for myself Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, I figured that I’ll spend rest of the weekend playing with my friend, mashing zombies, shooting stuff, fun times.

But all in all, after downloading 847329 patches that took forever, I wasn’t able to play multiplayer at all :(.

I know that my internet connection was crappy, but for gods sake! That much?

After teleporting for couple of in game minutes I “rage quit”ed and started seaching for new internet provider.

Screw this, internet is my main connection to people, I need to take care of this, even if it means another monthly payments.

So it seems that I will be choosing 3G net with 3G -> wifi router. As far as I know reception of 3G is not so bad in my neighbourhood, so I have at least a chance for decent speeds.

Great way to start my 2week vacation. And I’m starting to renovate my room tomorrow.
